July Membership Meeting, Annual Cookout and Activities

17th Annual Cookout:

Scott and his family will fire up the grill and provide hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls and condiments. If you can, please bring a salad, side dish or dessert to add to our table. WCBA will provide beverages. Don’t forget your lawn chair!

Talk and Socialize:

Connect to our WCBA Community while chatting with other beekeepers and learn more about beekeeping. Psssst, there’s always something to learn!

Quiz Bowl is back!

First activity of the day – 25 questions on bee equipment, inside hive photos, identifying pollinator plants and much more! Come and test your beekeeping knowledge. The winner will receive and Grand Prize from Ken Warchol.

Smoker Contest: 

Senior Division and NewBee Division (under 3 year of experience) – bring your secret fuel and light up your smoker.  The most prolific smoker after 30 minutes will be crowned the WCBA Smoker Champ! Winner will receive 2 tickets to our Thanksgiving Banquet in November.

Hive Opening:

• Help you evaluate your hives at this point in the season.
• What you should be doing now to monitor your hives.
• Alcohol wash demonstration.

Tour Scott’s in progress log mansion with wonderful views from the third floor.
